What to expect at the R.E.A.C.H. Centre

 

  • Respectful & relaxed environment

  • Meaningful activities & relationships

  • Opportunities to learn new skills and hobbies

  • A safe place to regain self worth, purpose, and confidence.

 

We have two locations within the Victoria Health Centre:

  1. The Learning Centre on the 1st floor where classes are located and;

  2. The Activity Room which is on the ground floor and hosts our social and

       recreational programs.

 

We also operate two outreach programs to the communities of Harvey and Mill Cove

 

Programs & Activities

 

R.E.A.C.H. Activity Room

  • Drop In - Come for coffee, tea, and a chat with new friends.

  • Bingo - Very popular with the members. Come and try your luck and win a prize!

  • Card games, board games, puzzles, and movies - Skip-Bo is a favorite.

  • Outings & Day Trips - Meet in the activity room to go bowling, shopping, walking, camping, and other seasonal trips throughout New Brunswick.

 

R.E.A.C.H. Learning Centre

  • Health & Wellness - Fun and low impact exercise to improve both the body and the mind.

  • Recovery Journey - Group program that offers the tools to get well, stay well, and accomplish your goals in life.

  • Computer & Newsletter Class - Learn basic typing and computer skills or contribute to the seasonal newsletter!

  • Knitting & Craft Fair - Learn new projects and techniques and have your creations sold to the public.

  • Art Class - Starting at a beginner level learn how to draw and paint.

  • Photography - Using a digital camera discover how to take great pictures and change them using photo software on the computers.

  • Nutrition & Me - Learn how to cook new recipes that are cost effective and nutritious.

  • Gardening - Plant and maintain a garden while acquiring your green thumb.

 

 

How to Get Involved

 

Applications are available at the Centre. Memberships are always free.

 

Monthly calendars list upcoming programs and activities. Members are able to sign up to any they have an interest in. Give us a call if you can't make it to the Centre.

 

Volunteers are always welcome. If you wish to help out with R.E.A.C.H. programs or start a new one let us know!
