Capital Youth is an initiative that supports the mental wellness of young people, families, and the community through free and low-cost wellness programming as well as connecting you to the great supports, programs, and activities already available in your community. Our vision is to live in a community where every young person and family has the tools to care for their mental health and feel supported in their mental wellness.

Our Space
We offer a large space where youth can converse and socialize while participating in their own activities. We also have a secondary table where staff are accessible while still offering privacy to the youth. Youth are also more than welcome to use this secondary table as well.
Our space features lots of natural light during the day for our Young Adult Drop-in hours. We also have lots of soft lighting for the early nights and grey winter days.

The Calming Corner
The Calming Corner is a sensory-friendly space we created for anyone who may be overwhelmed, overstimulated, or who just needs a moment of peace.
The goal of The Calming Corner is to provide a safe space. While we do our best to foster a safe, sensory-friendly space, but there are limitations in the general Youth Hub space. This is where The Calming Corner comes in!
The Calming Corner is located near the snack area, a separate room with soft, warm lighting. It features soft pillows, books, a zen garden, plush stuffies, and much more.
